Product Description

This is such a simple shape that even a new knitter could master it. Choose a yarn that drapes and has some movement. The stitches are worked to a light tension to allow more drape. Worked on large needles this project will work up quickly and effortlessly.

One size fits multiple chest sizes, due to the nature of its construction it will wear slightly longer on smaller chests. As a guide our model is a UK 8 chest size 32” and is 5 ft 5in

I used Rowan’s ‘Cocoon’ 80% Wool, 20% Mohair ‘MADE IN BRITAIN’ in chunky weight, 8 x 100g balls, 115m/126y per 100g

Note if you intend to substitute this yarn make sure you have checked the meterage per ball to get the correct amount

Skills required You will need to work basic knit stitches, st st and moss st and work a basic rib.
Materials required

You will need:

• one pair 7mm (US 10 ½) straight or circular needles

• Tapestry needle for sewing up

• Yarn approx. 920m/1008y of chunky weight yarn


In st st pattern using 7mm (US 10 ½ ) needles:

13sts x18 rows over 10 x 10cm (4x 4in) – adjust your needle size to match this tension.
